In today’s article we’ll tell you more about where Curaçao is located on the map, and we'll also share with you why we think that it should be a famous island! Let's start with that second one.

Why should Curaçao be famous?

Curaçao is an island that’s largely known for its perfect weather, breathtaking beaches, and last but not least, the world-famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur. When we say “perfect” weather, we are not exaggerating. With an average temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) all year round, any day is a pretty good day to go to the beach. With an offer of more than 30 beaches within a short drive from any point on the island, going to the beach will be a true pleasure.

Let's now talk about  Curaçao's world-famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur. Nowadays, there are many brands around the world that sell a Blue Curaçao Liqueur, but what stands out of the Curaçao one, is that it’s the only one in the world that is made with the dried peels of the “Laraha” orange, a citrus fruit that only grows on Curaçao. That’s why the Curaçao Liqueur from Curaçao is also known as at the ‘Genuine’ Curaçao Liqueur. If you’d like to know more about this famous liqueur, then you should definitely pay a visit to the Curaçao Liqueur Distillery at the 19th-century Country Mansion called “Landhuis Chobolobo”, and also The Blue Curaçao Experience located in the beautiful capital Willemstad.

Where is Curaçao located?

The island of Curaçao is located in the southwestern Caribbean Sea. It lies in the middle of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao) just 40 miles (60 kilometers) off the northern coast of Venezuela.
